1 - Fixes and Changes in 5.8.6

LogiQ 5.8.6 is a Service Pack. It is a minor release which only affects a few modules. It can be installed as an upgrade for LogiQ versions 5.8.0 thru 5.8.5. For new installations of LogiQ, release 5.8.0 must be installed first followed by the 5.8.6 Service Pack. 

To describe the features and fixes included in this Service Pack the following notation is used.

Attache Interation
The user can use the runscript module to generate an attache format file for a month or a year. They can configure the mappings for this in System Navigator.

When transmitting the Direct Debit Run data to Ezidebit there is nothing on the screen to let the user know what is going on
At the bottom left of the window is a space used to display progress. We display a combination of a transaction send count (eg 55 of 300) and a current status message; eg "Connecting to EziDebit Payment Gateway", "Sending transactions to EziDebit".

Cannot cancel a future membership
When the user tries to cancel a membership that starts in the future the system gives you the error message "The membership Cancellation Date cannot be before the membership start date!". This limitation has been removed.

Customer Status - display more info on why customer status is Default
Provide extra information so that the user knows why the Customer is in Default. for example:
1. Outstanding payments in the pay Schedule
2. Customer pay schedule is on hold.

Webcam Support for Windows 7
Webcams should now work with Windows 7.

Amounts in pay schedule when no membership package
If a customer has no memberships the direct debit button will display the payment details of the last membership on screen.This button will be disabled for customers with no memberships.

New Customer would not Load
When creating a new customer an error 94 would occur. This issue has been fixed.

Cancelling Fixed Term Membership
When cancelling a deferred fixed term membership the amount to be paid by the customer was not being calculated correctly. It should be equal to the pro rata amount for the number of days the membership was current.

Failing DD Run Report
The Direct Debit Run Transaction report was failing. This has been fixed.

Rejections for a Direct Debit Run have the incorrect amounts
This has been fixed.

TPOS was failing with Error 380 when trying to Edit Buttons
This has been fixed.

TPOS incorrectly handling Refunds
When refunding more than one of an item, the refunded amount was overstated. This been fixed.

2 - Installation

  1. Please contact techsupport@qvisual.com.au to obtain upgrade files and assistance for carrying out upgrades.

  2. During an upgrade the following steps might be taken (with the assistance of Qvisual Support Staff):


  • Perform a full back up of the live database.

  • Create a new TEST database

  • Test the upgrade on the TEST database

  • Upgrade the LIVE database

  • Upgrade the client workstations

3 - Uninstalling

  1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.

  2. Click Add or Remove Programs.

  3.  Scroll down to "LogiQ 5.8.5", or some other old version, click on it, and then click Change/Remove.
